This illustration was created for the ArtInPost competition, where the challenge was to capture the unique character of a place that feels like home. My design is inspired by a local nature reserve—a hidden sanctuary of marshlands and wetlands that serves as a vital refuge for diverse birdlife. Within the artwork, you can spot the white heron, the bearded tit, the great reed warbler, and the majestic eagle. For me, these surroundings are more than just a landscape; the raw greenery and constant birdsong offer a space for self-regulation, helping me find calm and mental balance. By bringing this untamed beauty to a parcel locker, I wanted to share the quiet power of nature and remind others of the peace that can be found in our local ecosystems.
